Main Campus: Intelligence Community Campus-Bethesda

The NIU main campus is situated in the heart of the National Capitol Region, inside the Intelligence Community Campus-Bethesda in Bethesda, MD. The main campus is the central hub of all NIU academic, research, and outreach activities. It is the home of the College of Strategic Intelligence, the School of Science and Technology Intelligence, the Office of Research, the Office of Outreach and Alumni Relations, the NIU Library, as well as classrooms, computer labs and all administrative offices. The main campus offers the widest range of academic programs including full-time graduate and undergraduate study, as well as, part-time study in the evenings and on weekends.

NIU European Academic Center
Molesworth, UK with academic sites in Ramstein AF, GERMANY and Stuttgart, GERMANY

NIU has partnered with the Joint Analysis Center in Molesworth, UK, to offer graduate-level courses and the MSSI degree program in a part-time format during off-duty hours. Classes are available to qualified U.S. federal government civilians and active duty/reserve service members in Europe, including personnel at the headquarters of U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command. Additionally, certain classes are made available via JWICS video-teleconferencing to eligible academic sites.

NIU Quantico Academic Center
Quantico, VA

In 2014, NIU established an academic center at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity. The NIU Quantico Academic Center offers graduate-level courses and the MSSI degree program in a part-time format (in the evenings) for military and federal civilian intelligence professionals living or working in the Quantico region.

NIU Southern Academic Center
Tampa, FL with academic sites in Fort Bragg, NC and Miami, FL

In 2012, NIU established an academic center at the U.S. Central Command’s Regional Joint Intelligence Training and Education Facility (RJITEF) on MacDill Air Force Base.  The NIU Southern Academic Center offers graduate-level courses and the MSSI degree program in a part-time format (in the evenings).  Classes are available to qualified U.S. federal government civilians and active duty/reserve service members in the southern region, including personnel at the headquarters of U.S. Central Command, Special Operations Command and Southern Command.   Classes are held at the RJITEF. Additionally, certain classes are made available via JWICS video-teleconferencing to eligible academic sites.

NIU Academic Sites at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
St. Louis, MO and Dayton, OH

Since 2004, NIU has partnered with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to offer graduate-level courses and the MSSI degree program in a part-time format during normal working hours. Although most attendees at this campus are NGA civilian or military employees, classes are open to others as space allows. Additionally, certain classes are made available via JWICS video-teleconferencing to eligible academic sites.

NIU Academic Sites at the National Security Agency
Fort Meade, MD and Fort Gordon, GA

Since 1991, NIU has partnered with the National Security Agency (NSA) to offer graduate-level courses and the MSSI degree program in a part-time format during normal working hours at NSA Headquarters. Although most attendees at this campus are NSA civilian or military employees, classes are open to others as space allows. Additionally, certain classes are made available via JWICS video-teleconferencing to eligible academic sites.
