National Intelligence University faculty member Wayne Hugar was selected as the recipient of the International Association for Intelligence Education (IAFIE) 2015 Instructor of the Year Award.

IAFIE recognizes individuals who have excelled in intelligence instruction, and Hugar’s honor comes as no surprise to members of the NIU community. In addition to being recognized this summer by the IAFIE, Hugar was NIU’s 2011 recipient of the Robert D. Beland Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching and was selected as NIU’s Outstanding Faculty Member of 2010-2011.

As his recognition expands to the national level, Hugar’s outstanding contributions are well appreciated. His main research areas are security and intelligence matters associated with East Asia.
