Accreditation
The National Intelligence University has been accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education since 1983 and was most recently reaffirmed on June 27, 2019. NIU’s official Statement of Accreditation Status is maintained at the Middle States website.
MSCHE is a global institutional accreditor recognized by the United States Secretary of Education since 1952, to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions.
Additional Accreditation
The NIU was granted initial Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I Program accreditation by the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff. This specialized professional accreditation is available to select military officers who participate in the designated joint curriculum.
